Job Opportunity Human Resources Manager Remote


Our client a rapidly expanding B2B services firm specializing in revenue team development is seeking an experienced HR professional to serve as their first dedicated in house Human Resources Manager. This is a strategic and tactical role designed for a builder who wants to establish the HR infrastructure for a fast growing organization with a large distributed workforce.


The Role


As the inaugural HR leader you will be responsible for designing and implementing the foundational HR systems required to support a hyper growth remote company. You will lead the transition from audit findings into a fully operational HR playbook ensuring all processes are documented and scalable.


Key Responsibilities


Establish and manage comprehensive human resources operations for a multi state US workforce and international contractor base.

Develop and maintain the Employee Handbook and corporate policies ensuring alignment with evolving labor laws.

Streamline and standardize the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding including state specific registrations and documentation.

Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations across various remote locations using high level judgment to navigate complex cases.

Maintain data integrity within the HRIS and consolidate all personnel records into a centralized system.

Create a detailed operations manual featuring standard operating procedures and training materials to support future growth.

Ensure total compliance with federal state and local regulations with a strong emphasis on California labor requirements.


Candidate Requirements


Between 5 and 8 years of experience as an HR Generalist or Manager specifically within a startup or small business environment.

Extensive experience managing HR operations for a fully remote workforce across multiple US states.

Demonstrated expertise in California labor law compliance and employee relations.

Deep knowledge of multi state regulatory requirements and a history of building HR workflows from scratch.

Strong communication skills with the ability to translate legal and compliance risks into actionable business advice.


Preferred Qualifications


Familiarity with employment laws in Colorado Illinois Maryland or Pennsylvania.

Experience working within an agency B2B services or high volume outbound business model.

Proficiency in using AI tools for policy drafting legal research and compliance verification.


Compensation and Benefits


Annual salary ranging from 110,000 to 140,000 USD based on experience and geographic location.

Full time W2 position with 100 percent remote flexibility.
