Senior Rust Developer | Blockchain | Layer 1 / Smart Contracts | Remote in Europe

A Blockchain development company, behind a next-generation Ethereum-compatible blockchain and ecosystem, are looking for a Rust Developer to join an exceptionally talented team to take an active role in Layer 1 Smart Contract Development and R&D prototyping.

A remote-first business, they can provide fully remote engagements within European time zones. (B2B is available)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve services written in Rust which are part of the business infrastructure.
• Maintain and improve business-critical infrastructure services written in Rust.
• Contribute to the R&D of prototype applications of cutting-edge blockchain technologies.
• Actively contribute to the review of technical architecture companywide.
• Participate in the technical governance of OSS projects.

Key Requirements

• Extensive programming skills in Rust.
• Experience working with both messaged-based and event-sourced architectures.
• Proven experience working in Smart Contract Development and Layer 1 Blockchain Infrastructure.

Nice to haves

• Previous experience working with the NEAR ecosystem, specifically nearcore code base.
• Familiarity with developing/auditing security-sensitive code and the EVM/web3 ecosystem.
