Key Responsibilities

Define and evolve the overall flight software architecture ensuring robustness, scalability, and alignment with mission and safety requirements

Drive key architectural and system-level decisions, review critical designs and code, and ensure deliberate technical trade-offs

Establish strong interfaces between flight software, avionics, GNC, systems engineering, and safety teams to identify and resolve integration risks early

Shape the verification and validation ecosystem including SIL, HIL, Monte Carlo campaigns, and automated test pipelines

Align software development plans with program milestones and vehicle integration timelines

Represent flight software in major program reviews and external technical exchanges including certification discussions with NASA

Build and lead a high-performing organization coaching team leads, growing senior engineers, and establishing engineering standards

Set clear expectations, make hard calls when needed, and ensure delivery of working software while meeting certification goals

Contribute to flight software code and tests with hands-on involvement
