About The Role
The role serves as the primary driver of people operations, employee relations, and compliance programs within a fast-growing, distributed engineering and product organization. Acting as a trusted advisor to team leads, this role ensures operational excellence across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
The successful candidate will manage day-to-day HR systems, lead performance management cycles, and implement talent development initiatives. This position balances strategic program design with execution, ensuring that operational policies scale alongside the company's technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize HRIS platforms, performance management tools, and compensation management software (e.g., Rippling, Lattice, or similar SaaS products).
- Partner with people leaders to resolve complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide objective, policy-aligned guidance.
- Design, roll out, and iterate on HR policies, handbooks, and compliance programs across multiple states, ensuring adherence to federal and state labor laws.
- Own the onboarding and transition frameworks, ensuring all new hires are integrated effectively into a remote-first cultural environment.
- Analyze HR metrics, including retention, turnover, and engagement survey data, to present actionable recommendations to executive leadership.
- Manage benefit renewals, open enrollment, and leave-of-absence policies in collaboration with external brokers and payroll administrators.

- 4-7 years of progressive HR Generalist or People Operations experience, preferably within a high-growth technology or SaaS company.
- Expertise in multi-state employment compliance, benefit administration, and employee relations best practices.
- Proficiency with modern HR tech stack tools, including modern HRIS systems, ATS software, and collaboration tools like Slack and Notion.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, with a proven ability to build trust across remote teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Bonus: Professional certification (such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) and experience managing HR in a fully remote environment.
