Ruby on Rails Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Ruby on Rails (RoR) Engineer based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-quality software solutions for both internal products and global clients, ranging from fast-growing startups to established enterprises. You will be part of a highly skilled engineering team working across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design to deployment and optimization. Accountabilities

• Write clean, secure, efficient, and maintainable Ruby on Rails code for production-grade applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
• Review code written by peers to ensure quality, consistency, and best practices.
• Optimize applications for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Deploy applications and ensure smooth release cycles across environments.
• Contribute to improving internal documentation and engineering knowledge bases.
• Work on debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience building and deploying production applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Based in India and fluent in English communication.
• Strong understanding of Git, GitHub workflows, and Docker-based development environments.
• Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to write production-ready code.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles and clean coding practices.
• Experience with ReactJS or React Native is a strong advantage.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
• Experience working in collaborative, remote, or distributed engineering teams is preferred.
