We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to elevate the quality, reliability, and scalability of a fast-growing SaaS platform. In this role, you will champion testing best practices, shape testing frameworks, and provide technical guidance that influences development across teams. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to ensure robust solutions, catch issues early, and enable the team to deliver with confidence. Accountabilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for unit, integration, and system-level testing
- Lead performance testing initiatives using tools such as K6 or Artillery to ensure system scalability and reliability
- Develop and maintain testing tooling, including mock servers, OpenAPI-generated tests and clients, and test data pipelines
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to evaluate technical designs, identify quality gaps, and provide actionable feedback
- Drive continuous improvement in CI/CD pipelines and observability practices to enable rapid, confident releases
- Mentor and coach engineers in testing methodologies and quality-focused engineering practices
- Act as a technical authority on testing, ensuring robust, reliable, and scalable product releases without creating bottlenecks
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an SDET in a SaaS environment
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Proven experience designing and implementing tests at multiple levels: unit, integration, and system
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (K6, Artillery)
- Skilled in building test automation tooling, mock servers, and test data generation
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Good understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog, New Relic)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork

- Previous experience with PHP or willingness to learn existing PHP business logic
- Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers in quality practices
