As a Data Scientist, you will play a central role in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and predictive models that drive business decisions. You will work on end-to-end data science projects, from data extraction and cleaning to model development and deployment, leveraging the Google Cloud ecosystem. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will design scalable data pipelines, implement advanced analytics, and contribute to machine learning initiatives including the use of Large Language Models (LLMs). This role offers the opportunity to impact high-stakes business outcomes while working in a flexible, fully remote LATAM environment that values innovation, autonomy, and collaboration.

Accountabilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets using SQL (Google BigQuery) and Python
  • Develop and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines and workflows
  • Apply vector-based representations and similarity measures (e.g., cosine similarity) for data-related tasks
  • Build and deploy predictive models (classification, regression, time series) using Python ML libraries
  • Create interactive dashboards and visualizations in Google Looker to communicate insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, align technical solutions with business goals, and deliver high-quality results
  • Work with LLMs and APIs (e.g., Gemini API) for text understanding, enrichment, and workflow automation
  • Perform manual data labeling, validation, and web research as needed to ensure data quality and integrity


Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in end-to-end data science projects (problem framing, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, communication)
  • 5+ years of SQL experience with large datasets, including ELT and optimization in Google BigQuery
  • 5+ years of Python experience for data analysis and model building, with familiarity using Google Colab
  • 3+ years of experience with data manipulation libraries like Pandas and NumPy
  • 2+ years of experience building predictive models and applying embeddings/similarity search
  • 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud tools (BigQuery; Vertex AI is a plus)
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development practices, including code reviews
  • Knowledge of data visualization/dashboarding tools, preferably Looker
  • Experience using LLMs and APIs for text understanding and automation workflows
  • Entry-level knowledge of Salesforce
  • Advanced English proficiency for communication with international clients
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
