Technical Business Analyst

LightFeather is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst with hands-on experience supporting ServiceNow development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gathering and translating business requirements into technical deliverables, writing epics and user stories, supporting Agile ceremonies, and enabling automation through platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that workflows, integrations, and enterprise processes are optimized, automated, and aligned with mission objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and ServiceNow development teams to elicit, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements.
- Write clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and epics to support ServiceNow feature development and enhancements.
- Partner with developers to design and refine automated workflows, integrations, and self-service capabilities within ServiceNow.
- Support Agile practices by participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Use Jira and Confluence to manage requirements, maintain documentation, track sprint progress, and ensure transparency.
- Create process flows, wireframes, and system documentation that bridge business requirements with technical implementation.
- Assist with testing and validation of ServiceNow features to ensure alignment with requirements and quality standards.
- Support reporting and dashboards within ServiceNow and Jira to provide visibility into backlog health, sprint progress, and delivery metrics.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation of onboarding, offboarding, and compliance workflows.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret clearance.
- Hands-on experience as a Business Analyst supporting ServiceNow development teams.
- Proficiency in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and epics in an Agile environment.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working directly with Scrum or Kanban teams.
- Strong familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow platforms.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for drafting documentation, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Experience building or supporting automated workflows in ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to bridge business needs and technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow modules.
- Previous federal contracting experience and familiarity with compliance-related workflows.
