As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of data-driven education products that empower institutions to deliver equitable student outcomes. You will oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation and roadmap planning to delivery and performance measurement, ensuring alignment with institutional needs and business objectives. Working closely with engineering, data science, and design teams, you will translate complex requirements into intuitive, scalable solutions. Your work will directly impact students, educators, and institutions by leveraging AI and advanced analytics. Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Owning the product roadmap, feature prioritization, and release planning for education-focused products
- Defining and maintaining product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, with a focus on backend and data platform deliverables
- Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure technical architecture aligns with product vision
- Partnering with design teams to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
- Monitoring usage, gathering feedback, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Defining and tracking key performance indicators to measure adoption, usage, and impact on student outcomes
- Supporting cross-functional initiatives with internal stakeholders, institutional partners, and program officers
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ years of product management experience, including launching and scaling enterprise software products
- 2+ years of experience with data infrastructure, backend systems, or B2B SaaS platforms
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts such as ETL, cloud storage, API design, and data pipelines
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data stack technologies
- Experience gathering requirements from complex stakeholder environments and translating them into clear product specifications
- Proven ability to work with technical stakeholders, including data engineers, data scientists, and system administrators
- Experience with agile methodologies, including user story writing, sprint planning, and cross-functional team collaboration
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Preferred: experience in education technology, student information systems, API product management, AI/ML applications in education, or mission-driven organizations
