We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a dynamic, globally distributed engineering team focused on delivering high-quality software at scale. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites, ensuring that APIs, features, and applications meet the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and operations to contribute to product discovery, delivery, and performance optimization. This is a fully remote position across Latin America, offering the chance to influence the customer experience, participate in CI/CD processes, and work in an innovative, fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact millions of users worldwide.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, your main responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and integrations
  • Contribute to product discovery and delivery cycles, ensuring features are tested for functionality, performance, and scalability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, report, and resolve software defects
  • Participate in on-call rotations to monitor and address critical issues in production
  • Support CI/CD processes by integrating automated tests and monitoring frameworks
  • Ensure a seamless and reliable customer experience, particularly in subscription, tenant, and user management flows


Requirements

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with a proactive approach to software quality and cross-team collaboration. Required qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with strong experience in automation testing
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress
  • Strong knowledge of API testing tools such as Axios, Got, or Postman
  • Solid understanding of SQL queries and database validation
  • Familiarity with work item tracking tools like Jira
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams


Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and distributed systems
  • Experience in SaaS environments or subscription-based software
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail
