Core Responsibilities
- Design & Scale: Architect backend systems capable of supporting millions of global users.
- Build New Features: Develop new integrations, services, and products across the crypto ecosystem.
- Blockchain & Exchange Work: Implement blockchain integrations, enrich data with DeFi categorization, and handle exchange-specific nuances.
- Deliver Impact: Own critical product and engineering objectives that directly impact business growth.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and other engineers to ship meaningful features.
- Influence Roadmap: Use your technical and domain expertise to shape long-term product direction.
What They Require
- Experience: 5+ years as a backend engineer in high-growth or early-stage environments.
- Crypto/Finance Expertise: Background in crypto, finance, or data engineering.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python (primary language).
- Experience with Flask, GraphQL, Postgres, BigTable, Redis, Temporal, Python RQ.
- Strong cloud fundamentals (preferably GCP, AWS also valued).
- Infrastructure & Ops: Terraform, Docker, Pub/Sub, Datadog, PagerDuty.
- CS Fundamentals: Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, system design, distributed systems.
- Integration Experience: Hands-on work with blockchain and exchange APIs.

- $175K – $210K (USD) + equity
- Fully remote role, with overlap required between 9 AM – 12 PM PT / 12 – 3 PM EST.
