We are currently looking for an experienced PHP Laravel Developer to support a short-term technical project in the technology sector, focused on API integrations, data normalization, and automated reporting. This fully remote role is open to candidates located within the EU, with a start date in April 2025.
Key Responsibilities
Integrate and manage external RESTful APIs (OAuth, API keys, APP/SECRET-based authentication)
Design and manage a MySQL database, including schema optimization and indexing
Build an admin dashboard or lightweight management interface using Laravel
Automate the generation and delivery of PDF reports using tools such as DomPDF or Snappy
Implement cron jobs to handle scheduled data tasks and reporting
Follow best practices for Git version control and maintain clean, well-documented code
Must-Have Skills
Strong hands-on experience with PHP and the Laravel framework
Solid knowledge of MySQL for performance-oriented data handling
Experience with REST API integrations and managing data ingestion pipelines
Familiarity with PDF report generation and email delivery from within Laravel
Skilled in backend development and building management interfaces
Comfort with cron job scheduling and automated task handling
Fluent in using Git for code versioning and collaboration
Nice-to-Have Experience
Integration with IoT or energy-related APIs (e.g., Huawei, SolaX, Solis)
Familiarity with data normalization techniques
Experience with Laravel Mailables, Mailgun, or SendGrid
Basic frontend skills: Blade, Vue.js, or JavaScript for minor UI improvements
Project Scope
Fetch and normalize inverter and telemetry data from third-party APIs
Store the unified dataset in a centralized MySQL database
Generate monthly PDF reports and automate their email distribution
Develop a simple backend UI for managing clients, service packages, reports, and error handling
