We are a leading payment gateway company operating in the dynamic iGaming industry, and we’re looking for a Head of Technical Operations, Payments to lead our technical payments infrastructure, PSP integrations, and operational delivery across multiple international markets.
About the Role
As Head of Technical Operations, Payments, you will oversee the technical backbone of our payments operations, ensuring seamless PSP integrations, optimizing payment flows, and driving technical excellence in authorization, settlement, and reconciliation processes. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance system reliability, scalability, and compliance across global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership – Own the technical roadmap for payments infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security.
- PSP & Gateway Integrations – Lead the seamless integration of new PSPs, acquiring banks, and alternative payment methods to expand global payment capabilities.
- Operational Excellence – Optimize payment processing systems to improve acceptance rates, reduce failures, and enhance reconciliation processes.
- Fraud & Risk Management – Implement best-in-class fraud detection and prevention solutions to protect the business and users.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensure adherence to PSD2, PCI DSS, AML, and other relevant regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management – Work closely with Product, Risk, Finance, and Engineering teams to optimize technical payment flows and ensure seamless operations.
- Incident Management & Support – Oversee the monitoring and resolution of payment-related technical issues, ensuring system uptime and reliability.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in payment gateway operations, PSP integrations, and payment processing technology.
- Strong understanding of fraud prevention, risk management, and compliance frameworks (PSD2, AML, PCI DSS).
- Deep technical expertise in payment authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Experience working with high-volume, high-risk transactions, ideally within iGaming, fintech, or payments.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical payment issues efficiently.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to relocate to Cyprus (Relocation package provided).
