Software Projectleader

As a Software Project Leader (Teamleader), you will play an important role in driving the success of software development projects within our multidisciplinary environment.

You will be responsible for organizing and creating detailed project plans, ensuring all aspects of the software development process are well-coordinated and efficiently executed. Key to this role is the tracking of issues and progress, as well as providing guidance and support to the software development team. You will act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining clear and consistent communication to keep all parties informed and satisfied throughout the project lifecycle.

This part of the company is responsible for the specification, design, and integration of high-tech mechatronic machine modules, professional systems, and capital-intensive equipment. With this client everything is carried out under one roof. Their state-of-the-art production facility is equipped with cutting-edge machinery to manufacture any designed product.

The R&D department consists of several competence groups, including Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Software, Flow & Thermal, and Project Management. Within multidisciplinary project teams, we specify, design, develop, and qualify modules and products for our customers. These products are then delivered directly to them.

About the role:

As a Software Project Leader, you play a crucial role in managing software development projects. Your main tasks include:

• Organizing and creating detailed planning for software development projects.
• Tracking progress and guiding the software development team.
• Keeping internal and external stakeholders informed and satisfied within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Reporting project progress to the (multidisciplinary) Integral Project Manager.

You will be part of the Software Development group within the R&D department and report to the Group Leader Software Development.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced professional with the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics, with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven expertise in high-tech, complex machine control.
• Experience in coaching and leading software teams.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies for software development.
• Extensive knowledge of Model-Driven Design.
• Expertise in real-time control software and real-time operating systems (Linux, Sun Solaris).
• Experience with industrial bus systems.
• Broad knowledge of Design Patterns.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, and Python.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and/or Configuration Management.
