Key Responsibilities

Own the multi-year product roadmap for net-new physical products, balancing innovation, margin, and cannibalization risk

Identify and validate product opportunities from consumer insights, competitive analysis, and channel performance data

Define and prove product differentiation through functional innovation, premium materials, and intellectual property strategy

Author and defend business cases including volume forecasts, cost/margin modeling, tooling investment, and trade-off analysis

Lead the five-stage stage-gate development process (concept to launch) with gate criteria enforcement and executive sign-off

Drive development execution through CAD, prototyping, DFM reviews, value engineering, tooling release, and field testing

Select and specify premium materials, coatings, and finishes with cost/tooling/quality implications

Manage and develop the industrial design team, setting design quality standards and approving tech packs

Partner with Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and sales channels to clear launch dependencies

Coordinate intellectual property and regulatory compliance strategies with legal counsel

Maintain expedited development lanes for fast-turn programs and customizations

Oversee technical relationships with overseas manufacturing partners, including factory selection and sampling
