Job Title: Java Fullstack Developer
Team Summary:
Lending Sales & Trading technology team is responsible for the development and implementation of a future technology strategy to support Lending Sales and Trading initiatives across the firm. The group is responsible for building out a greenfield platform to manage Loan Sales & Trading in the Secondary Markets; building out functionalities for: connectivity to upstream systems/Bloomberg, trade creation, implementation of a trade blotter, trade booking and downstream feeds to Valuation, Risk, & P/L systems. This will eventually culminate in the build of a dynamic, scalable and resilient OMS for the Loan Sales & Trading business.
Role Description:
We are looking for a talented Senior Full-stack Developer with Front-end & Back-end Java experience to join the team delivering a transformational platform that will drive the firm's Lending Sales and Trading initiatives.
The candidate will work on a global team, with concentration in Toronto, New York and London. They will perform hands-on development using Java, Spring Boot, React, Typescript and HTML. Significant advantage to candidates with experience in data visualization libraries such as AG Charts, and experience with automated testing. They will also contribute and influence best practices across the complete software Development Life Cycle
Responsibilities
- Work with small, full-stack feature team that focuses on building platform to display Lending Sales & Trading data with grids, charts and other visualization tools
- Communicate ideas, drive user demos, and work with business stakeholders to iterative development lifecycle in an Agile environment
- Design and create self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Java back-end development and Object-Oriented Programming: Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate, JPA, SQL, JUnit, Maven, Azure Cloud Computing
- Expertise of Web UI Technologies: React, TypeScript, JavaScript, AG Grid, AG Charts, CSS, Jest
- Hands on software development experience working on Client/Server, Multi-tier, Web-based applications.
- Good knowledge of design patterns with excellent problem-solving skills
- Professional, precise communication skills with client interaction
- Experience with troubleshooting web applications, familiarity with network monitoring and code profiling tools
It would be great if you also had:
- Detail-oriented, ability to turn deliverables around quickly with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret business requirements and produce functional and technical design documents.
- Good time management skills – Ability to prioritize and multi-task, handling multiple efforts at once.
- Strong desire to understand and learn domain.
- Experience in a financial services/banking industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; to be flexible and learn quickly.
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail/ prioritize tasks.
