We are seeking a talented
Combustion Engineer to join our Propulsion Systems division. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing the injection system of the thrust chamber assembly of a high-thrust engine.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the combustion chamber hydraulic and functional design from architecture to component design (especially the injector head) including the maturation needs of these components
- Ensuring that detailed hydraulic and combustion analyses are performed, reviewed and meet the required performance and reliability targets
- Closely cooperating with the other team members to successfully and collaboratively design and manufacture the thrust chamber assembly
- Participating in the components and assembly test campaigns (configuration definition, test preparation, execution and results analyses)
- Iterate on the design of the combustion chamber system using simulated and real-world test data
What we would love to see from you:
- Master’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline with a minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Hands-on experience developing hardware from concept to working prototypes
- Strong technical fundamentals in fluid mechanics, combustion dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer
- Experience with CAD software (Siemens NX is an asset)
- Proficient with CFD software (ANSYS FLUENT is an asset)
- A system engineering approach to problem-solving and design trades
- Experience writing software in languages like Python
- Experience with additive manufacturing is a plus
