A forward-thinking non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the Ethereum ecosystem is hiring Engineering Managers. Their mission is to build open-source software that unlocks

developer productivity and accelerates the growth of decentralized applications.

The team is developing an Ethereum runtime specifically for developer tools. Initially focused on teams users, the goal is to expand to support third-party tool developers who can integrate our runtime APIs to analyze Solidity code execution.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team. Foster a culture of learning, growth, and collaboration. Implement and refine performance management, career development, and hiring processes.
• Product Delivery: Own project execution, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features. Define MVPs, set milestones, and manage project scope effectively. Collaborate closely with product management to align technical roadmap with user needs.
• Strategic Leadership: Provide technical guidance on architectural and design decisions. Communicate the team's vision and goals clearly. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
• Technical Excellence: Conduct code reviews, identify technical risks, and suggest improvements. Mentor engineers on best practices and coding standards.

This position is 100% remote and location needs to be CEST and up to 3-4 hours from this timezone.

For this Runtime Engineering Manager position, I'm interested in speaking to people with the following:

• 3+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams in a remote or hybrid environment.
• 6+ years of experience leading technical projects with a proven track record of success.
• Strong technical foundation with experience in compiler development or related fields.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with Rust and open source development is a plus.
• Experience with Ethereum development, blockchain development and/or EVM is a plus.
