Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain the distributed systems architecture for real-time ad targeting decisions with sub-millisecond latency

Define service boundaries, concurrency models, and runtime optimizations for a 99%+ Go microservice architecture

Standardize event streaming patterns (Kafka, SQS/SNS) and asynchronous microservice communication across the organization

Establish data patterns (sharding, replication, DR) and lead zero-downtime database migrations for DynamoDB, MySQL, Druid, and Athena

Partner with data science teams to architect runtime infrastructure for ML model integration in real-time ad targeting

Define and enforce SLIs/SLOs, RFCs, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) for cross-functional alignment

Mentor senior engineers globally and sponsor major technical migrations

Optimize high-throughput processing of API events, MMP postbacks, and reward-triggering in-app events
