This Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting the critical technology infrastructure that underpins a highly successful investment business operating across global offices, datacentres, and cloud environments.

They are looking for a Linux Infrastructure Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. The ideal Engineer will thrive in complex, large-scale environments, enjoy solving challenging infrastructure problems, and take ownership of improving reliability, security, and automation. • Design, build, and maintain critical Linux-based infrastructure across global datacentres, cloud environments, and office locations.
• Drive improvements in platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the architecture, implementation, and integration of core infrastructure systems.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, operating system, and network-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing lasting solutions.
• Enhance infrastructure automation and reduce operational overhead through engineering-led improvements.
• Partner with security, infrastructure, and development teams on strategic technology initiatives.
• Support and evolve key platform services that underpin business-critical operations.
• Strengthen the firm's infrastructure security framework through best-practice design and implementation.

• Contribute to deployment automation, build systems, and CI/CD capabilities across the technology estate.
  
  

• 8+ years' experience supporting and engineering large-scale Linux infrastructure environments.
• Strong Python development and automation expertise.
• Deep understanding of Linux operating systems, system internals, and configuration management tools.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities across both host and network layers.

• Experience with automated build systems, software deployment frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure security principles and operational best practices.
• Solid understanding of network protocols and enterprise infrastructure services.
• Experience supporting DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, or similar core infrastructure technologies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, large-scale storage environments, databases, and Windows/Linux integration.
• Knowledge of Rust, Go, Java, C, or C# would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills within globally distributed teams.
• Degree in Computer Science or another technical discipline preferred.
