Senior Low-Latency C++ Developer
Location: Prague
Employment: Permanent or Contract
We are working with a leading global financial institution looking to hire a Senior C++ Developer to join its engineering team in Prague.
This is a senior individual contributor position focused on designing and developing high-performance, low-latency systems. The team has a high technical bar and is particularly interested in engineers who have worked on complex, performance-critical or real-time systems.
Financial services experience is not required. Candidates from technology, gaming, telecoms, embedded systems, real-time platforms or other technically demanding environments are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop high-performance, low-latency applications in modern C++.
- Work extensively with Linux, multithreading and concurrency.
- Profile, tune and optimise systems for performance and reliability.
- Take ownership of technically complex projects as a senior individual contributor.
- Contribute to architecture, technical direction and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across multiple locations.
- Help guide and mentor less experienced engineers.

What We're Looking For
- Strong professional C++ development experience.
- Experience building low-latency, real-time, high-performance or performance-critical systems.
- Strong Linux knowledge.
- Excellent understanding of multithreading, concurrency, performance tuning and optimisation.
- Experience with SQL or KDB is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving and software design skills.
- Ability to operate at a senior individual contributor level.

Additional Information
