About the Role
We are an AI data engineering and dataset contracting company building high-quality training datasets for advanced machine learning models and code generation tools. We are seeking a motivated Junior Python Developer based in the United States to write, evaluate, and sanitize Python scripts, develop automated data transformation pipelines, and conduct code quality assessments for Large Language Model (LLM) training datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Code Evaluation & RLHF: Review, debug, and benchmark AI-generated Python code snippets for correctness, safety, efficiency, and adherence to PEP 8 standards.
- Data Engineering Pipelines: Build simple automated Python scripts to clean, parse, and format raw training data into JSON, JSONL, and Parquet files.
- Ground Truth Code Authoring: Write clean, production-ready Python solutions, unit tests, and technical documentation to serve as reference datasets for model fine-tuning.
- Quality & Bug Fixing: Identify edge-case execution errors, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities in code models.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside senior data engineers and AI specialists to meet strict dataset delivery SLA requirements.

Qualifications & Skills
- Location Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (100% Remote, US time zones).
- Experience Level: 0–2 years of Python development experience (CS degree, coding bootcamp graduates, or self-taught candidates welcome).
- Core Python Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of Python 3, object-oriented programming, standard libraries, and automated testing (pytest/unittest).
- Data & Tooling: Basic experience with data manipulation packages (Pandas, NumPy), Git version control, and REST APIs.
- Problem Solving: Excellent debugging skills and clear written technical communication.
