This role is responsible for managing and enhancing a large-scale Windows infrastructure environment supporting critical business operations.
The position focuses on Windows Server administration, Active Directory management, automation, security, and infrastructure reliability.

Accountabilities
The Sr. System Administrator will provide advanced technical leadership for enterprise Windows environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient infrastructure operations. The role combines hands-on administration, engineering, automation, troubleshooting, and modernization initiatives across diverse technology platforms.
- Administer and engineer large Windows Server environments across physical, virtual, on-premises, and public cloud platforms.
- Manage and optimize Active Directory environments, including domain controllers, replication, Group Policy, DNS dependencies, authentication, trusts, and directory health.
- Design, plan, and implement system improvements, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management activities with minimal disruption.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex infrastructure issues while maintaining technical documentation and operational standards.
- Provide senior-level escalation support to improve system security, reliability, performance, recoverability, and supportability.
- Monitor Windows systems and services, analyze operational trends, and proactively address risks before they impact business operations.
- Implement security best practices, including vulnerability remediation, access controls, certificate management, and secure administration processes.
- Support VMware environments by deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows virtual machines and assisting with virtualization platform initiatives.
- Develop PowerShell scripts, modules, and automation workflows to streamline provisioning, configuration, patching, reporting, and remediation processes.
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization efforts, including cloud migrations, automated deployment models, and platform improvements.
- Support storage, backup, and recovery activities by validating system dependencies and ensuring recovery readiness.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and scheduled after-hours maintenance activities when required.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing enterprise Windows environments, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a passion for automation and infrastructure improvement. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or systems engineering roles supporting complex enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise with Windows Server administration, including Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and newer environments, as well as legacy system support.
- Strong Active Directory experience across multiple domains and forests, including Group Policy, DNS integration, LDAP, authentication, and identity infrastructure.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills, including reusable functions, modules, automation workflows, error handling, logging, and API integrations.
- Experience with VMware vSphere, Windows virtual machine deployment, troubleshooting, clustering, upgrades, and platform monitoring.
- Knowledge of networking concepts including routing, switching, firewalls, and load-balancing technologies.
- Experience integrating Windows environments with enterprise storage, backup solutions, and recovery processes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, or Intune is a plus.
- Exposure to Linux administration, monitoring platforms, IT service management tools, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS preferred.
- Experience with automation, configuration management, Infrastructure as Code, or deployment tools such as Ansible and Terraform is highly valued.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
