Role: Information Security Analyst

Function: Chief Risk Officer

Job Summary

Overall Purpose:

The Information Security Analyst shall provide foundational technical expertise and support in maintaining confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organisation’s information assets. This role involves assisting in the evaluation and monitoring of security controls, contributing to independent oversight and challenge of the Group's security controls and practices. The jobholder shall work closely with the rest of the team and acts as a bridge between the 1st line (operational controls) and the 3rd line. The Information Security Analyst shall ensure, together with team management, that the Group remains abreast of developing controls and requirements in the areas of ICT regulatory matters and best practices, and Operational Resilience regulatory matters.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

The job holder will be responsible for:

 

▪ Supporting the continuous embedding of the Group’s ICT security framework.

▪ Developing and maintaining security standards and procedures.

▪ Working with other team members to oversee and provide recommendations to Group projects, technology and processes to be aligned with the Information Security Policy, other relevant Group policies and relevant security standards.

▪ Assisting with regulatory security compliance projects, as may be necessary.

▪ Participating in information security incident management and reporting under guidance from higher management.

▪ Supporting in overseeing ICT business continuity, patch management and penetration testing programs (amongst other security programs).

▪ Facilitating ICT risk assessments reporting identified issues to management and following up on issues with responsible stakeholders.

▪ Assisting higher management in regular reporting to executive management and risk committees on ICT risk areas.

▪ Developing and delivering information security awareness and training, promoting a security-conscious culture within the organisation.

▪ Assisting higher management in collaborating with internal and/or external auditors as required on security assessments and audits.

 

 

 

In addition to the specific functions, management may assign more duties as required for the job from time to time.

▪ Highly responsible, committed with a can-do attitude and understands the responsibilities which the job entails.

▪ Team player and willingness to learn/teach other team members.

▪ Willing to remain continuously updated on areas related to the role.

 

 

Required Criteria:

Previous proven work experience of three (3) years in Information Security or ICT related, and an MQF Level 5 Award in ICT or related certification, such as CRISC.

OR

Previous proven work experience of four (4) years in Information Security, ICT related area

OR

Previous proven work experience of one (1) year in Information Security or ICT related area and an MQF Level 6 Bachelor’s Degree in ICT or related certification, such as CRISC.

Applicants are required to satisfy the Bank’s minimum eligibility criteria of four (4) O’Levels at Grade 5/C or higher, including English Language, in addition to any role‑specific requirements outlined above. This requirement shall not apply where applicants are already in possession of an MQF Level 6 Degree or higher.
