Senior Deployment Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Deployment Engineer based in Canada.

This role offers an opportunity for an experienced deployment and infrastructure engineer to help deliver secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions for enterprise customers.

You will act as a key technical bridge between engineering teams and clients, ensuring successful implementation and adoption of complex platforms.

The position involves managing the complete deployment lifecycle, from infrastructure setup and configuration to integration, monitoring, and optimization.

You will work with modern cloud technologies, automation tools, and enterprise systems to solve challenging technical problems.

Accountabilities

• Lead customer-specific deployments and onboarding processes across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Own the full deployment lifecycle, including environment preparation, infrastructure provisioning, configuration, integration, and monitoring.
• Design and implement deployment processes focused on scalability, security, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Integrate enterprise platforms with various systems, including document repositories, ticketing platforms, code repositories, and business applications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment pipelines, system performance, and platform reliability.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to reduce manual processes and improve operational consistency.
• Troubleshoot complex deployment challenges alongside customer engineering teams and internal technical stakeholders.
• Create and maintain clear deployment documentation, technical guidelines, and best practices.
• Promote automation, repeatability, and scalable approaches across deployment operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and customer delivery processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in deployment engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools such as Terraform and Helm.
• Knowledge of secure networking, identity management technologies such as SAML and OIDC, and API integrations.
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms and tools such as Okta, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or Salesforce.
• Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Grafana, Splunk, or Datadog.
• Programming experience in at least one language, such as Go, Python, or a similar language; Golang experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with external stakeholders and technical teams.
• Automation-focused mindset with a passion for creating reliable and scalable solutions.
• Experience deploying on-premises enterprise solutions is preferred.
• Background in search technologies, data pipelines, or large-scale distributed systems is an advantage.
