The role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation and integration of secure, resilient network solutions within a complex operational environment. Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from architecture and design through to deployment, testing and operational handover.

You will also provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, contribute to project planning and help deliver successful outcomes for a high profile customer engagement.


Key responsibilities

· Design and implement network architectures for complex technology solutions.

· Develop solution designs, technical documentation and integration artefacts.

· Configure, validate and deploy networking infrastructure.

· Support system integration and acceptance testing activities.

· Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering team members.

· Identify technical risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

· Engage with stakeholders across engineering, project and customer teams.

· Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practice.


About you

· 5+ years of experience in network engineering, systems integration or infrastructure delivery.

· Strong network design and architecture capability.

· Cisco networking expertise, with certifications such as CCNA or CCNP highly valued.

· Experience working within secure, highly regulated or mission critical environments.

· Linux or Unix administration experience, ideally RedHat.

· Experience leading technical teams or work packages.

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

· A collaborative style and the ability to work across multicultural teams.


Highly regarded experience

· Mission critical or near real time operational environments.

· Large scale distributed systems.

· SAFe or Agile delivery environments.

· Scripting experience including Shell, Perl or TCL/TK.

· Aviation, defence, transportation or critical infrastructure experience.
