AI Engineering Specialist - Generative AI, LLM, and AI Agent Architecture

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Especialista em Engenharia de Inteligência Artificial based in Brazil.

This remote role offers the opportunity to define the future of AI engineering within high-impact technology environments.

You will shape architectural strategies, engineering standards, and scalable practices for advanced AI-powered solutions.

The position combines generative AI expertise, software engineering, cloud architecture, and technical leadership.

You will help teams adopt innovative AI development approaches while ensuring security, scalability, and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for an experienced AI engineer passionate about LLMs, autonomous agents, and building enterprise-grade AI platforms.

You will contribute to transformative projects by creating robust frameworks and solutions that accelerate AI adoption across organizations.

Accountabilities

• Define long-term architectural vision, engineering standards, and best practices for high-criticality AI-driven products and platforms.
• Lead the adoption and evolution of AI-native development practices across teams, including scalable approaches such as Spec-Driven Development (SDD), Intent Development, and Harness Engineering.
• Design and structure cross-team AI engineering ecosystems, enabling efficient development and reuse of AI capabilities.
• Establish technical and economic governance for AI models, balancing token costs, latency, security, privacy, and performance requirements.
• Develop and promote frameworks, libraries, and internal engineering platforms that support AI solution development at scale.
• Design architectures for AI agents, multi-step workflows, and autonomous systems using modern orchestration approaches.
• Support continuous improvement of AI development processes through automation, benchmarking, monitoring, and advanced validation practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable implementation of AI technologies.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Claude, GPT, Gemini, or similar technologies.
• Experience building AI assistants, natural language processing (NLP) solutions, and enterprise AI applications.
• Strong knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), GraphRAG, prompt engineering, and context engineering.
• Experience with AI agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Strands, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience designing multi-step and multi-agent workflows with function calling and structured outputs.
• Strong backend development experience using Python or similar languages, including microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud environments, especially AWS services, security practices, observability, and model performance monitoring.
• Experience designing internal AI frameworks, libraries, or platforms used by multiple engineering teams.
• Knowledge of code agent workflows, Agent Skills standardization, SDD, Intent Development, and AI-assisted software engineering practices.
• Ability to design CI/CD pipelines and platform-level Harness Engineering solutions for continuous semantic validation of AI coding agents.
• Strong architectural thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to influence technical decisions across teams.
