Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join a growing Enterprise Data Platform initiative for a leading fuel distribution organization. This is a unique opportunity to work on a modern Microsoft Fabric-based analytics platform where reusable business models are built before reports, enabling scalable and governed enterprise reporting.
This is not a traditional Power BI report development role. We are looking for someone who enjoys partnering with business stakeholders, documenting business processes and rules, validating enterprise data, and developing insightful Power BI dashboards using governed semantic models.
If you're passionate about transforming business requirements into enterprise analytics solutions, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Analyze business processes across multiple operational domains.
- Gather and document business requirements, business rules, and reporting logic.
- Develop reusable business domain documentation for enterprise reporting.
- Validate data between operational systems and the Enterprise Data Platform.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Build and optimize Power BI semantic models.
- Develop complex DAX measures, KPIs, and business calculations.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and business stakeholders.
- Ensure reporting consistency, governance, and long-term maintainability.
- Participate in expanding enterprise business domains including Customers, Products, Inventory, Pricing, Invoices, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and more.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Power BI Developer, or Business/Data Analyst.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI development.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power BI semantic models.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
- Experience gathering business requirements and documenting business rules.
- Experience validating and reconciling data across multiple systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions.
