Threat and Risk Assessment Specialist

Location: Doha, Qatar (Onsite)

Contract Duration: initial 12 months contract

Other details:

• Preferably candidates based already in Qatar, Visa and Medical is sponsored
• Open for candidates outside Qatar but relocation costs (airfare and accommodation) are not provided

Responsibilities:

• Performing Threat and Risk Assessments (TRAs) for new initiatives, architectural changes, cloud/hybrid/on-prem deployments, third-party arrangements, and existing legacy systems
• Producing structured TRA outputs including risk statements, likelihood and impact ratings, control effectiveness assessments, and residual risk determinations with recommended treatments
• Evaluating security controls across identity and access management, encryption, logging and monitoring, network and cloud controls, and resilience measures

• Collaborating with Information Security, Architecture, Legal, ERM, and project teams to support risk acceptance, transfer, or treatment decisions; preparing risk summaries for governance forums.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience performing Threat & Risk Assessments in financial institutions and/or government entities.
• Strong understanding of threat modelling, risk analysis, and cloud/hybrid/on-prem architectures.
• Experience operating in embedded roles within Information Security teams.
