Senior Storage Engineer - 12-month Contract - Fully Remote

We are looking for a Storage Engineer. Object storage experience is required within Distributed Storage to support the delivery of operation activities and develop automation.

In this role, you will

• Identifying service owners/planning change schedules and resource requirements for the activities
• Support review, assess, and implement remediation against cyber security threats such as vulnerabilities patching.
• Drive and develop automation for Object infrastructures.
• Carry out capacity planning and drive purchase requirements for the Object environment.
• Delivering measurement/reports on change volumes, cadences, KPI regarding delivery
• Maintain close communication with other IT teams and coordinate IT-related stakeholder activities.
• Ensure system complies with group policies and standards.
• Be the agile lead of the POD and drive adoption of agile

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

• Demonstrable experience with Storage platforms in Object area (or one of the below areas - Block, File, Data Protection)
• Experience in Dell EMC ECS, NetApp StorageGrid, Veritas Enterprise Vault, OpenText InfoArchive
• Experience with AWS, GCP, MS Azure, NAS, SAN and backup would be an advantage.
• Experience working within an Agile environment.
• Knowledge and experience in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Ansible, would be an advantage.
• Basic Server administration (Linux or Windows) and Virtualization knowledge
• Automation scripting with API (using scripting languages such as Ansible, Python etc.)
