Senior Python Full Stack Developer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Full Stack Developer to join one of our client in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, modern web frameworks, API development, cloud-based deployments, and DevOps practices.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications, RESTful APIs, and microservices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust, secure, and high-performance solutions while leveraging modern development frameworks and Azure-based deployment environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python-based frameworks.
• Build robust backend services and APIs to support business-critical applications.
• Develop high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.

API & Microservices Development

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Integrate internal and external systems through secure API implementations.
• Ensure API scalability, reliability, performance, and security.

Full Stack Development

• Develop and enhance full-stack applications using modern development practices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX teams and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Participate in application architecture and technical design discussions.

Data Processing & Integration

• Handle structured and unstructured data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Design efficient data workflows and integration solutions.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across applications.

Database Management

• Design and optimize SQL queries for high-performance applications.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases.
• Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies.

DevOps & CI/CD

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.

Version Control & Development Practices

• Utilize Git for source code management and branching strategies.
• Participate in peer code reviews and maintain coding standards.

• Follow Agile development methodologies and best practices.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop unit tests and integration tests to ensure application quality.
• Implement continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues effectively.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and performance requirements.
• Implement secure coding practices and API security standards.
• Monitor and address vulnerabilities proactively.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Core Python development.
• Extensive experience with Django and FastAPI frameworks.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud-based application deployments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Strong knowledge of Git version control and branching strategies.
