Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Multimodal AI / LLMs
We are partnered with a global leader in ICT infrastructure and smart devices, operating across more than 170 countries. The team is looking to hire a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to drive the development of next-generation content intelligence systems, building and optimising multimodal understanding solutions across video, audio, image, and text.
This is an initial 12-month contract opportunity, available fully remote within Europe or onsite in Ireland.
Key responsibilities for this Senior Machine Learning Engineer position:
- Lead the implementation of multimodal frameworks focused on semantic understanding, narrative reasoning, and high-level content interpretation.
- Own end-to-end development of high-performance systems, driving algorithmic innovation and resolving high-impact technical bottlenecks.
- Integrate content signals into production recommendation and discovery pipelines in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Optimise models for low-latency inference and high-concurrency production environments at scale.

Key requirements:
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field.
- 5–8+ years in AI/ML research or advanced engineering.
- Hands-on experience in at least two of: Multimodal Learning, Computer Vision, or NLP.
- Expert proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Practical experience fine-tuning or working with MLLMs or VLMs.
- Proven track record deploying large-scale AI models in production.
- DSP or aesthetic evaluation experience is a plus.
- Publications at CVPR, ICCV, or NeurIPS advantageous.
