Senior Software Engineer

• Payout: $30 - $120/hour

Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Sr Software Engineer to work on a contractor basis. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software applications that help train next-generation AI systems. Your contributions will directly shape how AI models learn, reason, and perform by providing high-quality, real-world input. This is a unique opportunity to work in the AI industry without requiring prior AI experience—your domain expertise is what matters. The position supports a global network of experts contributing to the human intelligence layer for AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications using JavaScript, Java, and Python.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement high-quality software solutions.

• Review code, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to best engineering practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems for performance and reliability.

• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality.

• Participate actively in agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.

• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, and Python with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience.

• Experience designing and developing scalable software applications in enterprise or high-growth environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging, performance optimization, and system reliability.

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, code reviews, and test-driven development.

• Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to technical documentation and best practices.

• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• No prior AI experience is required—domain expertise in a relevant field is valued.
