Job Description

DevOps Engineer | Fully Remote | Full-time

Junior - Mid level - £50,000 + Bonus

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer (2-5 years experience) who doesn't just maintain pipelines, they reimagine them. If you thrive on turning manual chaos into push-button deploys and love learning how to guide teams towards a true DevOps culture, we want to hear from you.

You'll join a small, high-impact engineering team building the CI/CD backbone that powers payments for thousands of merchants worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Work on enterprise-wide CI/CD pipelines with built-in quality gates, security scanning, and automation
  • Help eliminate manual build and deployment steps — contribute to a push-button deploy culture
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to support DevOps adoption and toolchain usage
  • Support build, release, and configuration management across on-prem and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Assist with platform troubleshooting, IaC initiatives, and security best practices
  • Learn, document, and grow your knowledge of DevOps tooling and principles

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years experience in a DevOps, platform, or infrastructure role
  • Some cloud experience across one or more of AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Exposure to CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins
  • Familiarity with Terraform and/or Ansible
  • Basic experience with Docker and containerisation concepts
  • Some scripting ability in Python, JavaScript, or similar
  • Eagerness to learn networking fundamentals, security practices, and IaC
  • Good communication skills and a proactive, self-motivated attitude
  • Comfortable asking questions, taking ownership, and growing into the role

Bonus Points For:

  • GitHub Actions or GitHub Enterprise experience
  • Any exposure to HashiCorp Vault or secrets management
  • Cloudflare familiarity
