Key Responsibilities
Provide design, coordination, and oversight of various mechanical systems.
Manage the completion of all project design calculations and equipment specifications.
Coordinate and communicate all aspects of the project’s mechanical design within multi-disciplinary teams.
Review project contracts, customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), professional service agreements, or other contractual documents and incorporate into the design as required.
Provide oversight and coordination of projects, working with the assigned design managers and project managers, to meet project budgets and schedules for all mechanical discipline activities.
Manage other design partners (both internal and external) including construction partners, equipment suppliers, and other engineers and designers assigned to the project or task and review work progress and results.
Perform detailed technical bid analyses for equipment.
Generate and check design deliverables such as PFD’s, P&ID’s, process simulations, datasheets, and vendor shop drawings in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards.
Support the construction team including representing the design team on-site, answering RFI’s, providing creative design solutions, etc.
Develop schedules, work assignments, and staffing requirements to ensure successful project completion.
Perform early project design work such as conceptual studies, process flow diagram development, mass/energy balances, preliminary equipment sizing and selection, and general facility layout/arrangement.
Train, mentor, and advise peers and support staff on proper application of industry standards and best practices.

Nice to Have
Experience with mechanical design for data centers highly desired
Experience with Alternative Project Delivery (Design/Build, EPC) projects highly desired
Experience leading an engineering and design team and design projects as a lead/senior engineer is preferred
Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred or willing to obtain
Preferred experience utilizing AFT Fathom or AFT Arrow hydraulic simulation software (or equivalent)
