Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for executing rigorous functional testing of Low and Medium Voltage converters to ensure defect-free manufacturing outcomes. It involves managing Customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) in compliance with IEC and UL standards, developing SOPs from test procedures, and producing high-quality engineering reports. The position requires troubleshooting power electronics systems, maintaining calibrated test equipment, and collaborating with technology teams to enhance product quality and testing efficiency. Additional duties include designing test plans, supporting early product development, maintaining testing rigs and the Real-Time Simulation lab, and deploying software and firmware for production and spare parts.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate the Real-Time Simulation lab.
  • Execute functional testing of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) converters, driving excellence in manufacturing testing to ensure zero-defect products.
  • Manage Customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), ensuring alignment with IEC and UL standards.
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on test procedures and instructions, ensuring all testing processes support a safe work environment and comply with EHS standards.
  • Prepare detailed and high-quality test reports using standard engineering templates.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to LV/MV power electronics converters.
  • Provide feedback to the Technology team and identify opportunities to improve product quality and develop cost-effective testing solutions.
  • Ensure testing equipment and systems are properly calibrated and maintained for optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement type test and routine test plans for inverters and electrical components.
  • Maintain testing rigs at full operational capacity and document lessons learned to inform future product designs.
  • Participate in early product development stages to enhance manufacturability and reduce potential test failures.
  • Load and configure project-specific software and firmware for production units and spare parts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • 2+ years of experience in inverter testing or related electrical component testing; fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge may also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of inverter manufacturing processes, with exposure to quality assurance, engineering, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with IEC and UL standards, and experience with testing electrical components.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to resolving issues.
  • Effective communication skills for writing test procedures and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • English language proficiency in both reading and writing.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, The base pay range for this position is $79,400.00 - $119,000.00 USD per year.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

  • The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

This position will stay open on the career website until at least 10/21/25.
