The Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of Microsoft 365 services across a large enterprise environment. This position focuses on enhancing collaboration, productivity, and operational efficiency while supporting digital transformation initiatives. You will provide strategic guidance, lead technical consultations, and drive adoption of Microsoft 365 tools across the organization. The role requires a balance of deep technical expertise, consultative engagement, and collaboration with IT leadership, business units, and security teams. You will also design and optimize solutions, automate workflows, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, helping maximize the value of Microsoft 365 services.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance on Microsoft 365 adoption, governance, and best practices to improve productivity, collaboration, and security
  • Stay current on Microsoft roadmap developments and recommend emerging features and technologies for enterprise adoption
  • Consult with IT leadership and business units on solutions, technical capabilities, and value realization
  • Design, implement, and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Purview, Defender, Copilot, and Power Platform tools
  • Lead technical consultations, design reviews, and change management efforts, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
  • Develop training materials, conduct workshops, and promote user adoption and best practices across M365 tools
  • Automate administration and governance tasks using advanced PowerShell scripts, Microsoft Graph API, and PnP PowerShell
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce regulatory standards, data protection, and access governance


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 7+ years of equivalent experience. Advanced degree is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 infrastructure, administration, or related technical roles
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Purview, Defender, Copilot, and Power Platform
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft AI services, including Generative, Predictive, and Traditional AI
  • Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert and additional Microsoft 365 certifications preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and a consultative mindset to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with change management, adoption strategies, and user training for enterprise software solutions
