Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Client. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and systems integration, with a strong background in IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) tools, scripting, automation, and CI/CD pipeline design and management. You will play a critical role in supporting tool administration, integration strategies, and process automation to accelerate software delivery and improve system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) tools, including JAZZ, DOORS Next Generation, LQE, and Rational Publishing Engine.
- Develop custom scripts using DXL (DOORS eXtension Language) to automate requirements management tasks within IBM DOORS.
- Create and maintain CI/CD/CT pipelines, ensuring streamlined and automated software delivery workflows.
- Design and implement integration strategies for various tools across the development lifecycle.
- Develop automation tools and scripts using Python, RESTful APIs, and Shell scripting.
- Manage and optimize task and workflow tracking using Azure DevOps (mandatory) and Jira.
- Ensure seamless version control and branching strategies using GitHub (mandatory), and familiarity with legacy systems like ClearCase, ClearQuest, SVN, MKS, and PVCS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and optimize toolchains and delivery processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and configuration standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, systems integration, or a related technical role.
- Strong experience in tool architecture and integration strategies.
- Proven expertise in IBM ELM tools administration (Jazz, DOORS NG, LQE, Rational Publishing Engine).
- Proficiency in DXL scripting for IBM DOORS.
- Advanced programming/scripting skills in Python, REST APIs, and Shell.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD/CT principles and experience with pipeline orchestration.
- Hands on experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as ClearCase, ClearQuest, SVN, MKS, PVCS, etc.
- Experience with Jira for task management and workflow automation.
