The Data Architect will play a critical role in designing and governing enterprise data strategies that enhance information quality, security, and accessibility. This position involves defining data governance frameworks, establishing policies, and ensuring compliance with federal standards for sensitive information. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, secure data solutions and oversee data-related projects from strategy to execution. The role emphasizes leadership in guiding transformation efforts, improving data management practices, and optimizing the use of internal and external data sources. Working in a dynamic, remote-friendly environment, the Data Architect will contribute to high-impact initiatives that support organizational goals and enterprise-wide data integrity.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and oversee an enterprise-wide data governance framework, including strategic priorities, policies, standards, processes, and architecture
  • Define roles and responsibilities for data stewardship and ensure accountability for principal information assets
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technology teams to align data requirements with federal standards and organizational objectives
  • Maintain inventory of enterprise information maps, authoritative systems, and ownership
  • Facilitate implementation of data quality and protection standards across the organization
  • Define performance indicators and quality metrics, ensuring compliance with data-related policies and adoption requirements
  • Provide progress reports and oversee periodic updates to the Data Governance Roadmap
  • Coordinate external data sources to minimize redundancy and optimize efficiency


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in a major services organization with large-scale data or project management experience
  • At least 3 years in a data architect role with experience leading transformation initiatives
  • Knowledge of industry-leading data quality, protection, and governance practices
  • Familiarity with government regulatory requirements and emerging trends in data management
  • Strong consulting, change management, and communication skills, including culture change and performance measurement system design
  • Preferred: Leadership skills, relationship management, ability to handle complex challenges, Microsoft Azure Cloud expertise, and proven ability to influence enterprise data practices

  • Competitive salary range: $93,000-$133,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
