The Full Stack Developer will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining dynamic web applications in a fast-paced, agile environment. This position involves developing both front-end and back-end features using technologies like Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript, Python, and AWS. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure software delivery. The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, from feature development to testing, deployment, and maintenance, while contributing to innovative solutions that support critical federal modernization projects. Fully remote, this position offers a collaborative and intellectually stimulating work environment with opportunities to engage in emerging technologies.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack web applications
  • Build and manage APIs, including developing specifications with tools like Swagger
  • Participate in pair programming and Extreme Programming methodologies to ensure quality throughout the development cycle
  • Implement new features using acceptance test-driven development and microservices architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, DevOps, and QA engineers
  • Contribute to product strategy, design, and development activities in a lean and Agile environment
  • Ensure applications adhere to security, performance, and accessibility standards


Requirements

  • 2-4 years of professional full-stack development experience
  • Proficiency with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript, React) and back-end technologies (Ruby, Java, Python)
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
  • Strong knowledge of Git-based source control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong collaboration and team-building abilities
  • At least 1 year of experience with Ruby on Rails and strong JavaScript expertise
  • Agile development experience and intellectual curiosity with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Preferred: experience with Java Spring Boot, Python Django, AWS cloud services, Cloud Foundry, or React frameworks
