If this sounds like you, this is your defining career opportunity to join this very well-established Enterprise level organisation who have a long history and successful track-record of supporting their customers across the great state of South Australia, as the newly hired Technology & Strategy Architecture Manager, where you will be coming into the organisation with the opportunity to guide and shape the future of the technology strategy and Architecture Practice overall, along with driving the organisation’s technology capability uplift, defining the corporate IT strategy, approach and direction, by guiding, designing and implementing technology strategies and solutions, to set the position this organisation and set the direction for years to come.
The day-to-day nature of this role involves:
- Support and drive the ongoing evolution and maturity of the Architecture practice and lead the domain architecture working groups.
- Provide ongoing leadership and manage internal resources with your own team when it comes to other Technology Leads across the business, Solution Architects, and impart direction to Tech Leads, Domain Leads, Solution Architects, Technical BA’s and relevant technology teams.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient architectural designs and solutions.
- Empower, wider technology adoption across the organisation by developing and maintaining guardrails in terms of tools & processes that will enable well governed independent technology decision making across the Enterprise.
- Translate business and technology strategy into architecture roadmaps and define end to end architectures and frameworks that support the Enterprise strategy.
- Implement long term strategic goals and tactical plans for managing and maintaining Enterprise technology, corporate IT systems, and IT applications.
- Designing and implementing Enterprise-wide technology solutions for operational technology (OT), corporate business systems, and integrated Enterprise systems technology solutions.
- Driving the adoption of best practices, architecture frameworks, techniques, and standards in Enterprise Architecture, ensuring alignment with industry trends, and the latest emerging technologies.
- Establish and chair the Architecture Review Board and Technical Solution Review Board when it comes to developing architecture guiding principles, standards, and design guidelines.
- Impart your thought leadership to guide, mentor and coach a team of Technology Leads, Solution Architects and Technical BA’s.
The value that we hope you can bring to this role would include:
- Proven experience working as a Lead Enterprise or Solution Architect in a well-established Enterprise-level organisation where you have led and managed a team of Technology Leads and Solution Architects reporting into you.
- Ideally, coming from a solid background in Enterprise level IT Systems and IT Applications, with the ability to design and implement scalable solutions, with extensive knowledge of IT planning and operations, design, and deployment, as well as system life cycle management.
- Stakeholder influencing skills and prowess for developing and communicating technology strategy and business architectures to a wide audience.
- Experience with customer-facing systems in the Utilities sector, such as Billing systems, Metering systems etc, will be highly regarded.
- Expert level knowledge in cloud-based solution designs.
- Experience with integrating Enterprise applications, with the ability to define Integration best practices, design patterns and guidelines.
- Bringing the ability to apply and enhance Architecture principles, Architecture practices, frameworks, standards and processes within Architecture functions and technology teams, along with lT investments and governance.
- Display an understanding of automation and process optimization, with a focus on driving efficiency and productivity.
- TOGAF or relevant technology and Enterprise architecture certifications.
