In this role, you will design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications, contributing to high-performance web and microservice architectures. You will work on complex solutions involving relational and NoSQL databases, containerized environments, and cloud-native deployments. The position provides an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence technical direction, and deliver clean, maintainable code that meets client needs. You will support the full software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and troubleshooting, while optimizing performance and reliability. This is a fully remote position, allowing flexibility while engaging with a team of skilled engineers across the country. You will be instrumental in shaping software solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business requirements.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise-level software using Java 8+ (preferably Java 11+), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
  • Build microservices, web applications, and integrations with Oracle, NoSQL databases, and workflow engines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective technical solutions
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment
  • Work within containerized environments using tools such as Docker and Jenkins
  • Write functional and unit tests to ensure high-quality, maintainable code
  • Support, troubleshoot, and resolve software and process issues, providing sustainable solutions
  • Identify opportunities to improve development practices, tooling, and overall software performance


Requirements

  • 5+ years of advanced Java development experience with Spring Boot and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with Java 8-11 and containerized development environments
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and collaborative team environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservice architectures and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
  • Familiarity with SAP business objects, ElasticSearch, and messaging middleware
  • Knowledge of AngularJS or similar JavaScript frameworks
  • Prior experience acting as a technical lead or mentor within a development team
