Job Overview

We’re seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join a high-performing team supporting federal initiatives with the U.S. Air Force. In this role, you’ll architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for large-scale systems consisting of hundreds of applications.


You’ll play a critical part in ensuring security-first DevSecOps delivery across all phases of development and deployment.


This is an opportunity to work fully remote on mission-critical solutions, collaborating closely with technical experts to enhance cloud and automation environments for enterprise-level impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple product teams.
  • Lead DevSecOps implementation efforts using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Packer, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Support containerized application development, testing, and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Apply a security-first mindset across all stages of the software build and deployment process.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration, documentation, and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to automation strategies and improve continuous delivery pipelines in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).


Required Skills & Experience

  • Active Secret Clearance (required)
  • Helm experience (required)
  • Deep understanding of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and software build processes.
  • Proven background developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using Jenkins, Packer, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
  • Experience developing software with Java, Spring, JBoss, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and/or Angular.
  • Familiarity with microservice architectures (REST, JMS, AMQP).
  • Knowledge of Linux environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Istio is a plus.
