As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing enterprise-scale cloud solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, high-performing, and scalable cloud architectures while collaborating with IT teams, solution architects, and business stakeholders. You will contribute to digital transformation initiatives, support mission-critical applications, and drive operational efficiency across hybrid and cloud-native environments. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in Azure services, cloud security, and containerization with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to mentor junior team members. This role offers a fully remote, high-impact environment where innovation and continuous improvement are central.

Accountabilities

  • Architect, implement, and manage enterprise-scale solutions in Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with business and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable, cost-effective cloud solutions
  • Lead integration and deployment of web-based applications, hybrid cloud solutions, and mobility platforms
  • Monitor cloud system performance, uptime, and operational issues, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization
  • Stay current with emerging Azure and cloud technologies, evaluating their applicability to enterprise use
  • Support disaster recovery strategies, cloud migrations, and business continuity planning
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technical staff, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
  • 6+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 3 years in Azure-focused architecture or engineering roles
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and security
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless architecture, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Proficiency in cloud security, IAM, encryption, and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player with a passion for mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning
