About the Role
We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join one of our fast-growing client teams in the fintech industry. In this role, you’ll play a key part in building a secure, scalable AWS foundation, embedding security across the software development lifecycle, and ensuring compliance in a regulated environment.
This is a long-term, full-time remote engagement, offering the chance to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and make a direct impact on secure product delivery.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure AWS cloud architectures with IAM, VPC, GuardDuty, WAF, Inspector, and related services.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and security controls using Terraform and policy-as-code principles.
- Embed security in CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and GitHub Advanced Security.
- Harden Kubernetes/EKS environments, including runtime protection and secrets management.
- Drive vulnerability management, observability, and incident response capabilities.
- Collaborate across development, security, and operations teams to align on security and compliance goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps with a strong track record in cloud security.
- Deep AWS expertise, covering IAM, VPC, GuardDuty, WAF, Inspector and endpoint protection (EDR).
- Proven hands-on skills with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Strong background in Kubernetes/EKS orchestration and container security, including runtime protection and secrets management.
- Experience embedding security controls into CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and GitOps workflows.
- Ability to integrate security best practices across the SDLC - from code analysis and dependency scanning to runtime monitoring, incident response, and break-glass procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in vulnerability management, compliance alignment (GDPR, DORA, ISO 27001), and cross-team collaboration between development, security, and operations.
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively across development, operations, and security teams.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, DORA, ISO 27001).
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK/OpenSearch).
- Strong scripting and automation skills with Python or Bash.
- Holding relevant certifications is a strong plus, especially AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, or Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
