A well-known banking client is currently looking for creative and talented Senior Java Consultants on a permanent contract.

- The client is looking for experienced Java developers who also have strong business analysis skills – people who can bridge the gap between technology and business needs
- you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Adoption XDP authorisation platform and supporting various units in adapting the authorisation platform to their specific requirements.
- It’s ideal for a developer who enjoys talking to people, can listen, and create solutions tailored to real needs
- no on-call or working in other (than Czech) time zones
- EU citizenship/Czech blue card is mandatory
- Relocation package for candidates holding an EU passport!
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business units to understand their authorisation processes
- Analyse client requirements and adapt the Adoption XDP platform accordingly
- Support the implementation and adaptation of the platform, including during transition periods
- Review and process data to align it with the application model
- Participate in meetings and workshops with business stakeholders
- Work within a 5‑person team assigned to various units (2 members per unit)
- Work on an existing codebase, including refactoring, introducing changes, and handling multithreading
Requirements
- Strong experience in Java programming (min 5 years of experience)
- Solid knowledge of multithreading and code refactoring
- Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Background as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst is a strong advantage
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with various business stakeholders
- General knowledge of software design, application security, DevOps practices
Recruitment Process
- Technical interview (~1h)
Coding challenge – working on existing code (Java, multithreading, refactoring, implementing 3 user stories; no algorithmic tasks)
- Q&A session – software design, security, DevOps, business analysis
- Interview on Barclays’ values and culture
