We are seeking a Founding Senior AI/ML Engineer to architect and build the next generation of consumer social AI systems. You’ll take the lead in developing recommendation and personalization engines, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), and defining the technical strategy for a venture-backed platform designed to unlock proactive intelligence for millions of users.

This is a founding-level role at an early-stage stealth company backed by top-tier investors, offering a rare opportunity to shape both the product and the AI/ML roadmap from the ground up.

Our mission is to build the world’s first proactive intelligence network a platform that makes expert-level AI value discoverable, interactive, and effortlessly applicable in everyday life.

Led by a technical founder with a strong track record in consumer social, we’re assembling a team of elite engineers who want to tackle recommendation at scale, personalization engines, and real-time LLM-driven systems.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years designing, building, and deploying production-level ML systems.
• Deep expertise in recommendation/personalization systems.
• Strong experience with LLMs, fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Experience building scalable ML systems on GCP or AWS.
• Prior experience at consumer social companies (e.g., Facebook, ByteDance, Discord) or early-stage startups.
• Founder’s mindset: comfort with ambiguity, bias for action, and ability to deliver autonomously.
• Willing and able to work on-site in San Francisco (5+ days per week).

Desired Experience:

• Worked on consumer social products that scaled to millions of users.
• Early-stage startup experience taking AI systems from zero to one.
• Demonstrated ability to define technical strategy for AI/ML.
• Passion for consumer AI, personalization, and proactive intelligence networks.

• Compensation: $300K–$450K base salary (flexible for exceptional talent).
