Sr. Security Engineer in the
United States.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to lead the vulnerability and patch management program for macOS and Windows endpoints in a highly distributed environment. In this role, you will ensure the security, stability, and compliance of all endpoint systems, designing and maintaining patching infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will proactively mitigate risks, support incident response, and enhance the organization's overall security posture. Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage the vulnerability management program, ensuring adherence to established SLAs
- Deploy and maintain patches across all endpoints and standalone servers, ensuring timely updates
- Onboard new endpoints in a highly remote environment and maintain endpoint inventory
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including device trust, zero trust, and local password management
- Assist with incident response activities and participate in purple team exercises
- Troubleshoot patching issues such as failed installations, conflicts, or performance impacts
- Generate reports on patch compliance, vulnerability status, and endpoint health
- Maintain accurate documentation of all patching procedures, configurations, and security processes
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience managing patch deployment and vulnerability management
- Proficiency with enterprise patch management tools such as Microsoft Intune, Kandji/Jamf, Automox, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of macOS and Windows operating systems, system-level processes, command-line interfaces, and registry configurations
- Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tanium)
- Scripting experience in shell, bash, and/or PowerShell
- Familiarity with zero trust networking solutions and endpoint security best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
