As a QA Engineer (Manual & Automation), you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and API applications. You will design and execute both manual and automated test cases, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members. This role provides the opportunity to influence testing strategies, improve automation frameworks, and contribute to the overall software development lifecycle. You will take ownership of identifying and resolving defects while participating actively in Agile processes. This position offers a fully remote work environment and the chance to work on impactful projects that reach end-users globally.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases for web and API applications
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing to ensure software quality
  • Build, maintain, and improve automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA peers to maintain high-quality standards across the software lifecycle
  • Identify, log, and track defects to resolution while contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and review meetings
  • Take initiative to improve testing processes, tools, and automation frameworks without constant oversight


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on QA experience in both manual and automation testing
  • Proficiency in creating and executing detailed test cases and experience with automation tools like Selenium, Jira, or Cypress
  • Basic understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with prior experience collaborating with US-based teams preferred
  • Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone overlap with EST

Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with Cypress and Agile/Scrum environments
