Manual QA Engineer in
India.
As a Manual QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of complex software products. You will define testing strategies, execute test plans, and collaborate closely with product teams to detect and resolve issues early. This position offers the opportunity to work across web, mobile, and API platforms, providing direct impact on client-facing products. You will act as a quality advocate, implementing best practices and fostering a culture of excellence within the team. Accountabilities
- Define end-to-end test strategies and processes for multiple software products, recommending appropriate testing tools
- Plan, execute, and document manual testing to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards
- Investigate product quality issues and work collaboratively to resolve them efficiently
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement QA best practices and promote quality awareness
- Engage with clients to understand requirements, define quality expectations, and provide feedback
- Track, report, and maintain comprehensive test documentation and quality metrics
- Support the team in continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience testing web, mobile applications, and APIs
- 3+ years of experience establishing testing processes from scratch and maintaining test documentation
- Strong understanding of client-server architecture, SDLC, and testing theory
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and networking protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP(S), SSH)
- Basic scripting skills in any modern programming language
- Upper-intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of independent work
- Familiarity with task estimation and working in Agile development environments
